Participatory grape harvesting and wine making

19 September

We have choosen to launch the first of our public activities exactly on the European Day of Sustainable Communities so that we can enjoy all together a world premiere of what In Our Garden is going to be.

Today we welcome our guests in our 55 hectares with a relaxing walkabout among the vineyards while narrating  everybody about Sardinian traditional natural ways for wine making.

This has been a convivial and community event since ever, where everybody helped friends and neighbours on different days in the collective effort to make available good wine for the entire year.

A good glass of wine each day is one of the secrets of the longevity of Sardinian elders.  It’s no secret though that the real recipe for an amazing life is in the awareness that you need to feel connected. And this has always been made by preparing, sharing and enjoying  food and healthy activities and relationships with others.

This is why after harvesting, we are going to enjoy lunch in the shade of the olive trees and then to learn by doing wine making the traditional style: pressing the grape with our feet in huge rescued wooden containers while dancing and singing.

Let’s share good vibes and drink responsibly!
