Join us at a local permaculture project creating an eco-centred space with the aims of ‘sequestering carbon, maximising biodiversity and growing organic food.’
We’ll have the chance to learn from their experience and experimentation, including practical insights on:
•Applying ‘zoning’ to achieving multiple yields.
•Allotment-style cultivation of fruit and vegetables – including perennial plants.
•The benefits and needs of chickens in a small-holding.
•Techniques in regenerating soil and meadow life (including green manures).
•Grafting of fruit trees (lots of apple ideas!).
•Field-scale planting of a variety of food-forest type trees.
